Hello! Welcome to this scrappy little collection of songs. I'm so glad that with this album I've been able to include liner notes and lyrics. As I entered the final phase of mixing this together I realized that labeling this album with just "Strangely" for the artist would be incorrect.
So many wonderful folks contributed sounds and words and heart and couches and money, and this album belongs as much to them as it does to me. As the production of this project draws to a close, I feel like a man who just surfed a giant wave and lived to tell about it. I hope a tenth of that feeling has made it into the album you now hold.
In the spirit of featuring those dear to me, I've given the opening prelude to my best friend, Aaron J. Shay. Years ago while writing Try Try Try, I asked him for a verse, at the time he felt his words weren't right, so we left it out. Through the whole process of making this album I always felt there was a large Aaron shaped hole in that song. And then for my birthday this year he surprised me with this enchanting little prelude, which I now present to you.
Once again, welcome my friends!

lyrics
There are days when the words aren't right,
and your vision comes out all wrong.
And all you're left with at the end of the day...
is a broken song.
But if you leave it to it's own devices,
It might take on a life of it's own.
Evolving and improving, reproducing,
from the melody you'd sown.
I'm gonna try til I die,
because if I don't, I might as well be through,
I'm gonna try til I die,
I've got too many things left to do.

Compelling stories that are well written, not to mention beautifully sung, accompanied by beautiful instrumentation. I found Aaron J. Shay's music under a strange set of circumstances and was instantly fascinated by it, this album contains some of my favorite songs by him. Hyphonetics
